VAN NUYS, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Valley Presbyterian Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of five new members to its Board of Directors: David Adelman, Greenberg & Bass, LLP; Dianne F. Harrison, PhD, California State University, Northridge; Diego Mechoso, MD, Valley Presbyterian Hospital; Todd Moldawer, MD, Southern California Orthopedic Institute; Francisco Uribe, The Home Depot, Inc.

David Adelman, JD, is a Partner at the law firm Greenberg & Bass, LLP. He is past chairman of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA), and serves on the Board of Governors of the Valley Economic Alliance. Adelman also is a board member of the San Fernando Valley Green Team, an organization dedicated to the growth and development of sustainable business practices and technology. Mr. Adelman completed his juris doctor degree at Loyola Marymount University, Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Mr. Adelman is a Leadership in Energy and Envionmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional, credentialed by the United States Green Building Council.


Dianne F. Harrison, PhD, is President of California State University, Northridge. She serves on the board of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, the executive board for the California Campus Compact and is Vice Chair of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education. Dr. Harrison also serves on the Board of Governors of the Valley Economic Alliance, the board of directors for the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA). Dr. Harrison completed her doctorate degree in social work at Washington University in St. Louis.

Diego Mechoso, MD, is the Medical Director of Pediatrics at Valley Presbyterian Hospital, and has been a physician at Valley Presbyterian Hospital since 2004. Dr. Mechoso also is an attending physician at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles. He completed his medical education at Saint Louis University, School of Medicine in St. Louis, and completed his residency at the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine in Farmington. Dr. Mechoso is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics.

Todd D. Moldawer, MD, is a leading orthopedic surgeon at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute, and has been a physician at Valley Presbyterian Hospital since 1985. Dr. Moldawer completed his medical education at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, and completed a four-year orthopedic surgery residency at the Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed an orthopedic fellowship under the mentorship of Alexander Brodsky, MD, in Houston, which led to his sub-specialization in spinal disorders and injuries. Dr. Moldawer is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Pain Management.

Francisco Uribe is Director of State, Local & International Government Relations for The Home Depot, Inc. Mr. Uribe serves on the board of directors for the California Retailers Association, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, the California Business Properties Association, and the South Central Family Health Center. He completed an Executive MBA degree at Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business and Management in Los Angeles County.
