Research and Markets: Living with Diabetes in the UK - 2013 Report Gives Insight and Understanding to the Expanding Market

DUBLIN --(Business Wire)--

Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/jt7vmw/living_with) has announced the addition of the "Living with Diabetes in the UK - 2013" report to their offering.

In-depth analysis of a large online study amongst 500 patients with Type 2 diabetes, unveiling patients' attitudes, feelings, treatment programmes and needs for coping with diabetes, and includes a full patient segmentation. The study follows on from our original research published in 2009 and provides a current picture of patient attitudes and needs.

This report separates out the findings for the UK market from the overall global study. The report is updated at the time of order which can take up to 10 business days.

STAGE 1: Online Patient Study

A quantitative study amongst an international sample of patients with Type 2 Diabetes in the EU, US and emerging markets. A segmentation analysis will be carried out in established markets to include attitudinal statements around treatment, doctor interaction, diet and exercise and compliance. The study includes coverage of oral and injected products, plus BGMs.

STAGE 2: Moderated Online Research Community

Conducted in order to investigate more qualitative interaction capabilities and gather further insights. Patients in Stage 1 will be asked whether they would be amenable to take part in follow-up research. Using the segmentation from Stage 1 as a construct, we will invite respondents who represent each segment (multiple respondents per segment). Issues arising from Stage 1 would be addressed, with a focus on compliance. A one month dialogue will be held among these respondents in a MORC setting.

STAGE 3: Mobile Research

Featuring an innovative, App-based data collection approach focusing on compliance. Research targeting compliance is notoriously difficult because measurement (e.g. diaries) can distort the behaviour you are trying to measure. Our App-based approach will cut through this inherent difficulty and give new access to the real patient situation in relation to compliance with therapy, diet & exercise.
