Special Agents from The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Partner With The Madison Police Department in Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)...(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Special Agents from The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Partner With The Madison Police Department in Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Operation MADISON, Wis., Jan. 31 -- The Wisconsin Attorney General issued the following news release: On Friday, January 31, 2014, a criminal complaint was filed against Jason P. Thomas, of 3146 Forest Run Way in Madison, charging him with four Counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony. An initial appearance in this matter was scheduled for this afternoon at the Public Safety Building in Madison. According to the Criminal Complaint, on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, special agents with the Department of Justice - Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from officers with the Madison Police Department, executed a search warrant at the defendant's residence in the City of Madison. An on-scene forensic preview by a DCI analyst of a laptop computer hard drive belonging to Thomas uncovered numerous files consistent with child pornography, according to the complaint. In an interview with agents, Thomas admitted to downloading child pornography and to soliciting children to expose themselves online, and he admitted to knowing that child pornography is illegal, according to the criminal complaint. The Madison Police Department is a member of Wisconsin's ICAC Task Force. Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Dane County District Attorney's Office. A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
