BRIEF: Columbia Bank promotes former West Coast banker as COO [The News Tribune (Tacoma, Wash.) :: ]

(News Tribune (Tacoma, WA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Feb. 03--Tacoma-based Columbia Bank announced Monday that Hadley Robbins, senior vice president and Oregon group manager, has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer at Columbia Bank and at its parent, Columbia Banking System, Inc.

Robbins will assume office effective March 1. He replaces Mark Nelson, who retired last September.

Columbia President and CEO Melanie Dressel said in a release, "Hadley has a proven management track record in a wide spectrum of business line responsibilities. We are delighted he is joining our executive team, bringing with him a deep and diverse commercial banking and credit administration background." Robbins will direct most of the bank's business lines, which include commercial and retail banking as well as wealth management. He was selected after a national search.

Robbins, 57, had served as EVP and chief credit officer at West Coast Bank since 2007. He previously held positions at Wells Fargo Bank, Pacific Northwest Bank, Bank of the Northwest and First Interstate Bank.

Robbins will relocate to Tacoma from his home in Oregon.
