Camstar Systems Names Manufacturing Star Awards Winners [Health & Beauty Close - Up]


(Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Boston Scientific, ConforMIS and Infineon Technologies have been selected as Exclusive Winners of Camstar Systems, Inc. Manufacturing Star Awards.

According to a release, judges comprising the winners' peers and industry analysts selected the winning teams for creating top value in their Enterprise Manufacturing Execution System implementations. The winners showed project benefits, best practices for sustainability and integration into the company's fabric, long term impact on perception and adoption of technology, adherence to schedule and budget, and project originality.



Boston Scientific is a medical device companies. Judges determined that the business and team made a commitment to global MES and paperless manufacturing, and have created a sustainable competitive advantage through improved product quality and efficiencies.

"Boston Scientific's significant achievements are due to their commitment to global MES, and ingraining it in their manufacturing DNA," said Daniel Matlis, President of Axendia, Inc. and Manufacturing Star Awards chief judge.


ConforMIS delivers a new generation of patient-specific implants and instrumentation.

"ConforMIS gives a lesson for all to follow, regardless of size of your organization," said Mark Lincoln, VP of Global Operations for Terumo Cardiovascular Group and Manufacturing Star Awards judge.

Infineon is a provider of semiconductors and system solutions. The well-orchestrated team from all areas of the organization showed they can automate best practices from equipment to total plant information, further improving productivity and quality.

"Their strong team approach is likely to further enhance sustainable competitiveness," said Julie Fraser, Principal of Iyno Advisor, and Manufacturing Star Awards judge.

The judges selected teams at Extreme Networks, Ethicon - a division of Johnson & Johnson, and Roche Diagnostics for Special Commendation Awards.

Winners of the competition will be honored in a special ceremony at the Camstar Global Conference 2014, and will be featured in team videos and presentations throughout the event.

"The teams who won Manufacturing Star Awards not only had a clear vision of value and strong execution to deliver business improvements through manufacturing, but also pioneered repeatable, sustainable models for transforming their manufacturing capabilities" said Karim Lokas, Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing Strategy for Camstar.
