CES, Focus Camera Unveiled New Product Line Including Exclusive Celestron Telescope

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) New York, NY (PRWEB) February 04, 2014 Online digital camera retailer Focus Camera made its presence felt at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas early in January, joining many of its suppliers to demo and unveil a host of exciting photography, electronic, and astronomy equipment. New offerings include a the Sony POV Action Camera as well as point-and-shoot cameras, DSLR cameras, and handy-cams from Sony, new Canon point-and-shoot cameras and camcorders, the new Nikon COOLPix and their D3300 DSLR, and an exciting new Celestron telescope developed in partnership with Fox Television to coordinate with one of their upcoming programs.

Sony proudly debuted the newest model of its innovative Point-Of-View Action Camera at CES. This new, wearable camera boasts full HD image capture, upgraded optics hardware and software, and a vastly expanded host of onboard post-shooting features. Combined with its splash-proof body, flexibility, and high quality, these features have led Sony to bill it as the “total POV video solution for pros and video enthusiasts.” And Focus Camera is offering it for pre-order now so customers can get it as early as possible at a great price.

Another pre-order gem from Focus Camera that Sony unveiled at CES is the Alpha a5000, a 20.1-megapixel, mirrorless camera weighing in at about eight ounces. With a handful of useful hardware features and settings to make it a perfect step-up camera, its biggest contribution is the combination of best-in-class hardware performance with a huge array of software and app options built around its Wi-Fi capability and integration with Sony software. More shooting options, remote control with a smartphone running the app, and remote sharing are just the most basic options. And the large sensor allows for an ISO of up to 16,000 so you can shoot in a lot of difficult environments without distortion.

One of the biggest products that Focus Camera was proud to announce to customers is the new Celetron COSMOS 90 GT WiFi Telescope. This is the first WiFi-operated telescope available for and marketed to amateur astronomy. Equipped with the software necessary to control the telescope using an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, a connection to the COSMOS database to make viewing specific objects easier, and a 90mm refractor with fully coated glass for crisp, clear views, this is a next-gen telescope unlike any other.

CES was a unique opportunity for Focus Camera to connect with suppliers and customers in a personal way, to meet new fans, and to show its proud array of new digital camera, camcorder, and astronomy products. Many of them are available online now, while the rest are up for pre-order as a service to excited customers.
