Oman Air CEO steps down [TradeArabia]

(TradeArabia Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oman Air has announced that its chief executive officer Wayne Pearce has decided to leave the airline after more than two years in the post. He will leave by the end of this month. Oman Air chairman Darwish bin Ismael bin Ali Al Balushi, announcing Pearce's departure, said: "Working with Oman Air's board of directors, Wayne Pearce has done an excellent job of steering Oman Air through a key phase of our development. Following a period of rapid expansion, all the vital elements are now in place for the next phase of our growth, whilst also safeguarding continued increases in passenger numbers." "Mr Pearce leaves us after introducing greater frequencies on a number of key routes, increasing the revenue and passengers' numbers and improvement in on time performance" "On behalf of all my colleagues on the Board of Directors & the Staff of Oman Air, I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the contribution Mr Pearce has made to Oman Air's ongoing success and we wish him well in his next role."
