NTA, FRCN, NAN, Sure-P Get New Bosses


(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed his erstwhile Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ima Niboro as the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

A statement by Jonathan's spokeman, Rueben Abati last night also announced the appointment of Senator Suleiman M. Ajadi and Mrs Fidelia Njeze as his Special Advisers on National Assembly Matters and New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) respectively.



The president also approved the appointments of General Martin Luther Agwai and Mrs Tanwa Olusi as chairman and deputy chairman of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) respectively.

Abati noted that General Agwai (Rtd) was until now the deputy chairman and acting chairman of SURE-P; while Mrs. Njeze is the current Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland. Also appointed were Mr. Sola Omole as Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Alhaji Ladan Salihu as Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). All the appointments were with immediate effect.
