Toshiba Aligning to Enable One Stop Shop for European Retail Stores with Integration of European POS and Maintenance Businesses


TOKYO --(Business Wire)--

Toshiba (News - Alert) TEC (TOKYO: 6588) announces it will integrate its European retail-focused businesses to provide a unified and strengthened solution and services operation expected to begin on April 1 and will continue during Spring 2014, subject to local country policies. Toshiba TEC Europe Retail Information Systems SA/NV ("TERIS") and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions ("TGCS") companies in Europe will combine their strengths and will act as one face to the customer under Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. Both companies will align their retail store operations, service business and business partner channel, to deliver broader unique solutions to their customers, with enhanced focus on mobility and omni-channel. The integrated business of POS solutions, maintenance, services and our channel will be led by Alan Outlaw, Vice President of Sales, Europe, Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, who will provide sales and business leadership.

Retail stores will now have a "one-stop shopping" experience in Europe with a full suite of store solutions to address evolving retail store needs such as mobility and omni-channel. As consumers demand more engagement throughout their shopping journey, the new integrated portfolio gives retailers the opportunity to differentiate and modernize their stores with seamless retailing across all channels.
