Apple may call Andy Rubin during next Apple v. Samsung trial


(United News of Bangladesh Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Dhaka, Feb 18 (UNB) -During next months Apple v. Samsung trial, Apple may call Googles Andy Rubin to the stand to testify, according to court documents. Rubin was one of the creators of the Android platform, and would be asked to explain the development of Android features Apple claims infringe on patented content. He may also be asked to speak about Google documents relating to such development." In March 2013 Rubin left the Android team to work on Google robotics projects.



Other Google staff Apple says it may want to testify include Kenzo Fong Hing, Googles head of Android marketing Hiroshi Lockheimer, a VP of engineering Ann Hsieh, a user experience researcher and lastly Fred Quintana, a software developer. A former Google worker on the list is Helena Roeber, who tackled all aspects of user research" on Android, according to Apple, reports electronista.

Samsung is already expected to call some prominent current and former Apple executives to the stand, including marketing head Phil Schiller and one-time iOS head Scott Forstall. Both of those executives testified during the first Apple v. Samsung trial if Apple calls Rubin, it will be his first time testifying in the two companies legal battles.
