Nikon Announces New Flagship DSLR Camera - the Nikon D4s - Available for Pre-Order at Adorama

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) New York, NY (PRWEB) February 25, 2014 Adorama (http://www.adorama.com), one of the world’s largest photography, video, imaging and electronics retailers, is offering customers the opportunity to pre-order Nikon’s newest flagship DSLR camera, the Nikon D4s, on its website at: http://www.adorama.com/INKD4S.html.

Photo industry expert Mason Resnick put together a "First Look" review of the Nikon D4s for the Adorama Learning Center and has this to say about Nikon’s new DSLR: “Key features include the highest extended ISO ever to appear on any digital camera, as well as significant improvements in autofocus, video, continuous shooting stamina, battery life and image processing. By any measure, the D4s is the most advanced Nikon yet.” Read Resnick’s full article here: http://www.adorama.com/alc/0014568/blogarticle/nikon-d4s-flagship-dslr-first-look.

The Nikon D4s offers a host of upgrades from the previous D4 model DSLR. Notably, the D4s has a new image processor in the EXPEED 4 engine; it’s 30% faster than the D4 model, and offers an increased number of shots and improved video quality at high ISO. Its ISO sensitivity range base is 100 to 25,600, and a staggering Lo1 at ISO 50 to Hi4 at ISO 409,600. That’s a dramatic change from the former model’s Hi4 of 204,800, and will allow for even greater performance in low light settings, whether shooting still or video images. The D4s also offers a 12-bit uncompressed RAW size S, which was not available at all in the D4.

Added to the feature lineup is Group Area AutoFocus (AF), the ability to control Face Priority analysis for viewfinder shooting, Spot White Balance when using Live View and up to six white balance presets, from the previous option of three.

The Nikon D4s shoots 11 frames per second – up from ten in the D4 – and supports 1920 x 1080 video at 60/50/30/25/24p – far more options than previously available. Multi-area mode Full HD D-Movie with three image area options is now selectable during live view: FX, DX and 2.7X Crop. Additionally, users now have ISO auto control for manual exposure, simultaneous recording to both a memory card and external recorder, selectable audio frequency range and the ability to adjust audio during video recording.

The D4s has a redesigned grip and controls for improved ergonomics. Additional improvements over the D4 include selectable playback magnifications, ability to change the focus point size in Live View Movie mode, full aperture metering during Live View for still images, and LCD color fine tuning.

The Nikon D4s is available for USD 6,496.95 and can be pre-ordered through Adorama now at: http://www.adorama.com/INKD4S.html. Orders are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
