Store it securely [New Straits Time (Malaysia)]
(New Straits Time (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) WOULDN'T you like to have a job that takes you around the world in luxury, gives you a taste of delectable food and an opportunity to try out lifestyle and technology products before they hit the market?
It certainly sounds good, doesn't it? And Rebecca Saw, 33, is living it. A professional blogger for five years, the Penangite has developed her hobby into a full time career.
With a niche in lifestyle and travel, Saw shares her experiences via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Her quirky personality allows her followers to get the latest updates and a unique peek into her latest discoveries.
Saw is also known as a social media strategist, a service she offers through her business Rouge Communication. With a staff of five, she drafts social media campaigns for companies. She keeps updated with local and regional blogs to identify potential bloggers to be recruited for social media campaigns.
"I am constantly on the move. If not attending events or checking out eateries, I will be travelling. Last year, I was travelling out of the country at least once a month," says Saw.
When on the job, she is constantly taking pictures with her Sony NX5D camera and iPhone. If she is away from Kuala Lumpur, she would probably have her laptop and her WD My Passport Slim hard disk drive in tow as well.
"I keep every single picture I take and a multitude other information and data. The storage drive is my lifeline," says Saw.
Her staff also carry similar storage devices. When they are in the office, they upload their data and images onto the WD My Book Live Duo Personal Cloud Storage NAS (Networked Attached Storage) to share files and photos.
The My Passport Ultra line of portable hard drives - which combine additional layers of data protection with super-fast USB 3.0 connectivity, a slim, compact design and four colour choices - offer mobile consumers the safest and easiest way to protect their digital content while travelling. The My Book Live Duo, meanwhile, protects precious memories and wirelessly backs up all PC and Mac computers on the network to one reliable location using WD SmartWare.
"All these files are vital for my blogging activities and business. And the devices never let me down," says Saw.
