(Telegraph-Herald (Dubuque, IA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) GALENA, Ill. - Sheriff Kevin Turner would like to advise the public of an Internet and telephone scam involving Microsoft.

The scammer will try to gain remote access to your personal computer or laptop and also might ask about email addresses you have. The offender is trying to hack into your computer to gain information such as name, address, email address, passwords, bank account information and anything else they can find in your computer.


Do not share any information such as email address, IP address or any other personal information.
