Kaspersky Lab North America Appoints John Salamone, Vice President, SMB Sales
WOBURN, Mass. --(Business Wire)--
Kaspersky
Lab North America announced the appointment of John Salamone as Vice
President, SMB Sales. John brings over twenty years of sales management
experience in the software industry. He is responsible for overseeing
and directing Kaspersky Lab's (News - Alert) small and medium business sales
organization in the region, including managing all new sales activity to
small and medium business, and state, local, education and non-profit
organizations. In addition he is responsible for maintaining and
increasing Kaspersky Lab's current SMB customers, while managing and
growing the footprint of the existing customer base.
John joins the company on the heels of significant company momentum and
success. In January 2014, Kaspersky Lab was
named a "Leader" in the Gartner 2014 Magic Quadrant for Endpoint
Protection Platforms for the third year in a row. This prestigious
recognition further solidifies Kaspersky Lab's status as a top provider

Prior to joining Kaspersky Lab, John most recently served as Vice
President of Sales at Brainshark (News - Alert) where he managed a team of National
Account Managers solely responsible for bringing in new business. John
also has extensive experience in working with distribution channels,
inside and direct field sales. Prior to Brainshark, John served in a
number of different positions including Senior Director, Worldwide
Distribution Channel and Embedded Software Division at Mentor Graphics,
Corp., North American Sales Manager at EMA (News - Alert) Design Automation and Vice
President, North American Sales at both Innoveda and PADS Software. John
also founded and ran a sales training and consulting firm focused on
sales process and optimization.
