LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--

The pre-registration deadline is Tuesday, March 11, for "Affect Regulation and Healing of the Self," a three-day conference at UCLA offering in-depth presentations and discussions regarding the latest research, advancements and therapeutic techniques concerning the healing of trauma, addiction and related disorders.

Presented by UCLA Extension and the Lifespan Institute, the conference will be held March 14-16 on the campus of UCLA at the Ackerman Grand Ballroom. Conference details and online registration are available at https://www.uclaextension.edu/attachment.

Interpersonal neurobiology is an emerging field of study with broad applications in the areas of mental health, education, parenting, adiction therapy, as well as in business and industry. The conference is considered essential for a range of mental health care practitioners to further realize the broad spectrum of benefits and continued advancements in the fields of attachment, neurobiology, and affect regulation.

Presentations will cover neurobiologically-informed models of addiction, attachment, infant health, behavioral biology, trauma education, psychoanalysis, and individual, couple and body psychotherapies. The opening and closing sessions will review the past 20 years of interpersonal neurobiology and will look into the future. These sessions will feature Dr. Allan N. Schore and Dr. Daniel J. Siegel, who are recognized pioneers in the field of affect regulation and interpersonal neurobiology. Other presenters include Dr. Drew Pinsky, well known for his radio and television appearances as an addiction specialist as well as a professor of psychiatry at the University of Southern California.
