BRIEF: Microsoft to retain St. Paul presence through 2019 [Pioneer Press, St. Paul, Minn. :: ](Saint Paul Pioneer Press (MN) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) March 07--A software development unit of Microsoft has renewed its lease in downtown St. Paul's Wells Fargo building through 2019. "Our staff in Saint Paul is a testament to the quality of employees we're able to recruit in this region and the products and services we're able to help develop here," Douglas Olson, director of engineering and general manager of Microsoft's St. Paul office said in a statement. In addition to assisting and building tools for software developers, the St. Paul unit's 40 employees work with Microsoft Azure, the company's cloud-based computing platform.
