BRIEF: Boise Code Camp expands in eighth year [The Idaho Statesman :: ]
(Idaho Statesman (Boise) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) March 07--The core of the Boise Code Camp is the young software professionals who meet for a day-long event of presentations and networking. However, in its eighth year, the Code Camp has expanding to include separate training sessions for children as young as 6.
This year's Boise Code Camp is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 at the Boise State University Student Union Building. The event is free, though participants are asked to register at boisecodecamp.org/register-for-code-camp.
Last year's Code Camp was the first to include children. This year's Code Camp will include a slate of sessions for aspiring software developers, and students from Meridian Tech Charter High School will deliver project presentations.
Adult participants can choose between 60 sessions, each lasting 75 minutes with 10-minute breaks in between. A detailed sessions list is available at boisecodecamp.org/sessions.
Several topics include:
°Computer security and financial fraud detection
°Legal issues and technology
