BRIEF: Weber has a new CEO [The Kansas City Star :: ]
(Kansas City Star (MO) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) March 14--Jarrod McCarroll has been named chief executive officer of Kansas City-based Weber Inc., the North American affiliate of one of the largest manufacturers of industrial slicers for the meat and cheese industry.
McCarroll, a 12-year veteran of the food processing equipment industry, most recently was vice president of sales and marketing at Marlen International in Kansas City.
He succeeds Scott Scriven, who left Weber for a position with another company. Scriven had been Weber's chief executive since late 1999, the company said.
Weber is part of Weber GmbH, based in Germany. The company, founded in 1981, operates three manufacturing facilities in Germany. Its North American Technology Center and demonstration facility, which opened here in 1996, is at 10701 N. Ambassador Drive. The company has about 40 employees here.
Weber manufactures high-tech slicing machinery along with ice machines, food robotics, skinners and derinders.
