CPAs and Legislators to Connect On Issues March 18 at MNCPA's CPA Lobby Day

(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MINNEAPOLIS, March 11 -- The Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants issued the following news release: The Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) will host its annual CPA Lobby Day at the State Capitol in St. Paul on March 18. The event connects CPAs with Minnesota state legislators to talk about issues important to the CPA profession and the businesses, communities and individuals CPAs serve.

"Lobby Day offers an opportunity for the CPA profession to present a unified voice at the Capitol, and for CPAs to educate their legislators on important issues," said Geno Fragnito, director of Government Relations for the MNCPA. "CPAs have a strong reputation as trusted business advisers, and legislators greatly value the information they provide.

More than 60 MNCPA members will attend the event to voice their opinions on important topics following a year of significant tax changes in the state.

Included among the topics likely to be discussed this year are Gov. Dayton's proposed $600 million package of tax cuts and repeals, and conformity of Minnesota state tax laws with federal tax laws.

Attendees will meet with legislative leaders and legislators from their individual districts. For more information on CPA Lobby Day, visit www.mncpa.org/lobbyday.
