(Times of Oman Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Muscat: Stars Light crushed OCT Al Amerat by a massive 102 runs in a Khimji Ramdas-sponsored Senior Cup T20 tournament match.

Winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Stars Light piled up 212 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 stipulated overs.

Opening batsman Mujtaba Ahmad lead the way with a top score of 84 runs while other useful contributions came from Attique Ahmad (36) and Shaed Ali Ibrahim Al Balushi (22 not out).

In reply, OCT Al Amerat were bowled out for 110 in 20 overs. Faisal Al Balushi top scored a run a ball 22 (4x4).

Invited to bat first, Muscat Electronics thanks to a 93-run second wicket partnership between Bentick and opening batsman Melwin Mathew (43) reached 164 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Pillila Krishna Chaitanya chipped in with a valuable 22. Saud Shihab picked up two wickets.

In reply, Galfar made a disastrous start losing six wickets for 66 but recovered through a seventh-wicket partnership of 46 runs between Shyam Laxman (32) and Tenny Thomas (29). Their innings ended at 159 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Earlier opening batsman Khalil Ahmed chipped in with 38.

Robin lifts OMC Barmeda Robin opening the batting smashed 110 runs to help Oman Medical Complex (OMC) record a thrilling one run win against Abu Maather in a Khimji Ramdas-sponsored Junior Cup T20 match.

Electing to bat first, OMC scored 176 runs for five wickets in 20 overs thanks to Bameda's contribution. Nasar Bashir grabbed two wickets conceding 27 runs in four overs.

Abu Maather, who started off with six penalty runs on the board due to the late arrival of their opponents, made a bold reply scoring 175 for the loss of four wickets thanks to an unbeaten 98 from opening batsman Nazim  Hamdulay. The opening partnership between Nazim and Nasar Bashir (24) yielded 95 runs in 11 overs. Invited to bat first, Saih Al Suwaiq from a precarious 59 for the loss of six wickets managed to reach 139 in 19.4 overs thanks to useful contributions from the lower order batsmen.

Krishna Raja, Sasi Bibin, Sai Rajesh and Deepak Gakhar took two wickets apiece. Focus National, thanks to an unfinished 143-run partnership between Waman Kauthankar (72 not out) and Deepak Gakhar (62 not out) raced to their target in 12.3 overs. Brief scores: Saih Al Suwaiq 139 all out in 20 overs (Ragesh Urokandy 24, Sujash K.R. 23, Ajeesh P.A. 22; Krishna Raja 2/13, Sasi Bibin 2/19, Sai Rajesh 2/28, Deepak Gakhar 2/31) lost to Focus National 143 for no loss in 12.3 overs (Waman Kauthankar 72 n.o., Deepak Gakhar 62 n.o).
