Certiport Partners with Autodesk on Design the Future Program
(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Certiport, a Pearson VUE business, the leading test delivery solution provider for the global workforce and academic markets, has joined with Autodesk, President Barack Obama and other leading technology and telecom companies to help prepare American high school students for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) careers. Through Autodesk's "Design the Future" program, Certiport offers educators free eTraining, a free practice exam voucher, a free certification voucher, and a discount on an Autodesk Certified User classroom license for new Certiport customers.
"We piloted the Design for the Future program with Autodesk last year, and we are pleased to continue this relationship as we expand nationwide to help as many students as possible earn industry recognized certification," said Bob Whelan, president and chief executive officer for Pearson VUE. "President Obama's ConnectED initiative calls for better trained teachers and we are doing our part to make sure educators have access to Autodesk training and certification. Once they are equipped with Autodesk Certified User certification, educators can train their students on these valuable job-ready design skills."
The Design for the Future program is now available nationwide. More details can be found at http://www.autodesk.com/DesignTheFutureUS. In total, the program will make available $250 million of 3D design software, project-based curricula, training and certification to every middle and high school in the United States in 2014.
