Telco Systems Announces E-Access Plus Solution for Exchange and Wholesale Applications

MANSFIELD, Mass. --(Business Wire)--

Telco Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC, TASE: BATM) and a leading provider of CE 2.0 multi-service Carrier Ethernet and MPLS edge access solutions for mobile backhaul, business Ethernet services and cloud networking, is pleased to announce E-Access Plus, an expansion of their E-Access and provider exchange solutions enabling flexible external network-to-network interfacing (E-NNI) for their customer install base.

As one of the first companies that successfully passed all types of MEF (News - Alert) CE 2.0 service certifications, including Access EPL and Access-EVPL, Telco Systems expands its exchange and wholesale offering with its newly announced E-Access Plus solution. Telco Systems' (News - Alert) E-Access Plus hybrid Carrier Ethernet & MPLS devices can be collocated at carrier hotel locations to provide immediate MEF CE 2.0 E-Access service compliance without the need for costly fork lift upgrades of existing legacy switch and router platforms. Telco Systems' E-Access Plus capable devices offer switching capacities from 5Gbps up to 1Tbps and support thousands of MEF compliant services per device.

Exchange and wholesale service providers are challenged with business opportunities that require them to provide bandwidth outside of their coverage area (i.e. off-net). They are faced with the option of partnering with various providers and need the capability of supplementing their coverage across broad geographies.

E-Access Plus enables adjustable E-NNI to address the evolving challenges of the exchange application, including multi-tagging technology, any traffic level manipulation, optimized quality of service (QoS), and automated provisioning of access network interconnections. "With E-Access Plus, providers are able to benefit from operation simplicity, fast time to market, simple manageability, and highly flexible edge solutions," stated Moshe Shimon, VP of Prouct Management for Telco Systems.

In order to establish this type of interconnect, Telco Systems' E-Access Plus portfolio should be used for its flexibility and scalability, combined with the powerful service management system, EdgeGenie. This promotes a superior total cost of ownership by using EdgeGenie to accelerate network planning, deployment, ongoing management of new services, modifiable bandwidth management and service assurance via robust, integrated operations, administration & maintenance (OAM) monitoring and testing tools. Moreover, it has been fully tested and field proven using Telco Systems' T-Marc and T-Metro product lines, and allows for simple, standardized deployment of new services. This powerful combination provides intelligent and remotely managed network connectivity.

"Telco Systems' E-Access Plus and provider exchange solutions enable us to get to our customers with flexible E-NNI capabilities and off-net services, empowering us to optimize our network to gain more revenues," said Ande Hornig, Principal at Metro Optical Solutions. "By leveraging Telco Systems' CE 2.0 compliant, end-to-end Ethernet product portfolio, Metro Optical is able to offer their customers new services at a rapid pace, allowing for optimal user experience and assured SLAs."

Telco Systems' T-Metro 8006 is currently used at various provider exchange sites in the US market as an E-NNI off-net aggregator. Along with the T-Metro 8006, Telco Systems offers a complete provider Exchange solution through their Carrier Ethernet aggregation and demarcation portfolio.
