Social Solutions and Mathematica Policy Research Form Partnership to Pilot Rapid-Cycle Evaluations

WASHINGTON --(Business Wire)--

Social Solutions Global, Inc. and Mathematica Policy Research today announced a partnership to develop and deliver Rapid Cycle Evaluation (RCE) services to health and human services organizations. The partnership comes in response to the White House Office of Management &am; Budget's Evidence and Innovation Agenda Memo of July 2013, which recommends RCE as a strategy to deliver a "smarter, more innovative and more accountable government."

RCE provides decision-makers with timely, actionable and compelling evidence of whether operational changes improve program outcomes. Many operational changes can be tested in a matter of months. RCE employs a rigorous, scientific approach, meaning decision-makers can have a high degree of confidence in the results. By testing changes with this short-term, low-cost approach, RCE also can help agencies avoid substantial investments in changes that turn out to have no impact.

"We are pleased to work with Social Solutions to develop and deliver the RCE offering," said Scott Cody, Mathematica Policy Research Vice President. "Social Solutions has a demonstrated commitment to helping agencies improve program outcomes. Their experience working in partnership with agencies, combined with the strength of their software tools, make them an ideal partner for delivering RCE. We look forward to working with Social Solutions to bring this invaluable technique to health and human service providers in both public agencies as well as high-performing nonprofit organizations."

"Social Solutions is excited to partner with Mathematica Policy Research to bring Rapid Cycle Evaluations to health and human service providers that may otherwise lack the funding and resources to undertake a traditional program evaluation," said Scott Johnson, CEO of Social Solutions. "This aligns perfectly with our ongoing efforts to help advance the sector by strengthening programs and practices with evidence of what works, resulting in saved money, time and resources, and better outcomes for individuals."

Mathematica Policy Research, an employee-owned company, seeks to improve public well-being by conducting program evaluation and policy research, survey design and data collection, research assessment and interpretation, and program performance/data management.

Social Solutions Global, Inc., creator of Efforts to Outcomes (ETO®) software, is the leading provider of performance management software for human services.
