Kokuyo Camlin To Sell Camlin AlphaKids [DealCurry (India)]
(DealCurry (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) @Kokuyo is exiting its pre-school business selling its entire 100% holding in subsidiary Camlin AlphaKids Limited to the original founder of Camlin, Dilip Dandekar and his family members including his Associate companies, the company said in a BSE filing.Dandekar who holds 5.38% shares in Kokuyo Camlin Limited out of the total promoter & promoter group holding of 74.98% took charge of Camlin in 2002, following the retirement of Mr. Subhash Dandekar, from the post of Executive Chairman of Camlin after a period of 43 years at the helm.In May 2011, Kokuyo and Camlin came together to create Kokuyo Camlin Limited. Kokuyo S&T company limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kokuyo Company Limited acquired a controlling stake in Camlin Limited from the promoters.The pre-school company reported revenues of R2.45 Cr an increase of 33.94% over the previous year.Recently the Japanese promoter had acquired Riddhi Enterprises, a Mumbai-based notebook manufacturer for $8 Mn.
