Strayer University Partners with Hispanicize 2014 to Bring Together Top Latino Professionals in Business, Media and MarketingHERNDON, Va. --(Business Wire)-- Strayer University, a leading postsecondary institution for working adults, is pleased to announce its support of Hispanicize 2014, the largest annual event for Latino trendsetters in social media, entertainment, technology and innovation, among a variety of other industries. Now in its fifth year, Hispanicize is expected to convene more than 1,700 newsmakers, who will participate in professional development sessions, new product and campaign launches, and cultural activities between April 1-4 at the InterContinental hotel in Miami, Fla. (Photo: Business Wire) In addition to being named the education sponsor of the event, Strayer University is the primary supporter of the Latino Startup of the Year competition. Earlier this year, the Latino Startup Alliance (LSA) and Hispanicize 2014 launched this national campaign to search for the nation's top Latino entrepreneurs. In order to compete, startups were required to submit a YouTube (News - Alert) video that introduced their product or service, as well as vision for success and the future. The three finalists from this first round of competition will be flown to Hispanicize by Strayer University, where they will give a final pitch to a panel of judges, including Cristina Henley, Strayer University director of public relations. The winner will receive a package of marketing and business services to help promote and develop their startup.
