Toshiba Delivers Industry-Leading Depth and Detail on New Sleek Ultrasound System

LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)--

Hospitals and imaging centers of any size can now access premium image quality with Toshiba (News - Alert) America Medical Systems, Inc.'s Xario™ 200. The all-new ultrasound system is sleek and lightweight and takes the worry out of providing high-quality patient care with a compact ultrasound system.

With a small footprint and weighing just 165 lbs., the Xario 200 makes it easier to fit into tight spaces and maneuver from room to room. Additionally, its 19-inch monitor moves in all directions, so clinicians can visualize images in more detail from any angle.

The Xario 200 is available with Toshiba's most advanced imaging technologies, including Precision Imaging, Differential Tissue Harmonics (D-THI) and Advanced Dynamic Flow™ (ADF). The system produces superb image quality at depth (up to 40 cm) and delivers outstanding clinical performance in the widest range of clinical settings, including general imaging, women's imaging and shared service departments.

"It's Toshiba's philosophy to always provide the highest image quality, and the Xario 200 provides clinicians anywhere access to Toshiba's unique imaging technologies so they can focus on what matters most - making the right diagnoses," said Tomohiro Hasegawa, director, Ultrasound Business Unit, Toshiba. "The Xario 200 gives providers a cost-efficient and safe diagnostic solution that helps them respond to changes in the current healthcare environment."

Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. will launch the new Xario 200 ultrasound sysem at this year's American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) annual meeting in Las Vegas, March 29-April 2, 2014 (Booth #315).
