BRIEF: Commissioners seek new MLIRD director [Columbia Basin Herald, Moses Lake, Wash. :: ]


(Columbia Basin Herald (Moses Lake, WA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) March 30--EPHRATA -- Grant County commissioners announced Thursday they will begin accepting applications for the vacant position on the Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District's Board of Directors.



The position has been vacant since earlier this month, when former director Mick Hansen resigned from the board. The person commissioners appoint will serve the remainder of Hansen's term, which is up this December.

The board holds regular meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. District guidelines outline $90 for each day or portion thereof as compensation, not to exceed $8,640 in a calendar year.


Interested applicants must submit a letter of interest and application. The application can be found at www.grantcountyweb.com under the "Request for Volunteers" tab.

Applications will be accepted until April 17.
