The University of Scranton Recognized with Major Educational Advertising Awards

(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SCRANTON, Pa., April 4 -- The University of Scranton issued the following news release: The Higher Education Marketing Report recently announced the winners for the 2013 Educational Advertising Awards, recognizing The University of Scranton's new undergraduate recruitment commercial with the top award in the TV Single Spot category.

The "Expect More," 30-second TV spot, which received a gold award, features current University students telling prospective students what they can expect from attending Scranton, from experiencing new opportunities to learning to live for others.

This year, more than a thousand colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several countries submitted nearly 2,000 entries into the largest national educational awards competition. Submissions are judged on a combination of creativity, marketing execution and message impact.

The University also received silver awards for their entire 2013 undergraduate recruitment campaign, which included: a commercial; various publications; direct mail pieces; print; online and outdoor advertising, and for their "Choosing Scranton" video, one of a suite of new videos produced to help tell the story of various aspects of a student's experience at Scranton.

The University's new undergraduate admissions microsite (admissions.scranton.edu), which launched July 2013, was recognized with a merit award in this year's competition. The site is a fully responsive website that provides information targeted specifically to prospective students.

The panel of judges for the Educational Advertising Awards is comprised of industry specialists, including higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.
