Truven Health Analytics Forms Center of Excellence Team to Support Their SAS Solutions

Truven Health Analytics today announced the creation of the Truven Health SAS (News - Alert) Center of Excellence. Truven Health Analytics uses SAS software as a core capability to provide government and commercial customers with a wide range of healthcare data and decision support solutions.

Al Cordoba, who served as Truven Health's director of research operations for the past two years, will lead the newly-created team, which includes a lineup of highly-skilled SAS experts. The team will be responsible for considering SAS solutions in our upcoming engagements with customers, coordinating SAS technical product support and evaluating our use of new additions to SAS' complete list of software solutions and associated hardware.

The Center of Excellence team will be integral in SAS implementations, and will advise Truven Health analysts on performance and optimization utilization of SAS software. They will also spearhead technical leadership for SAS solution maintenance, and it will be the coordination point between top SAS experts and its users.

The Center of Excellence will also support SAS projects company-wide, which will encourage collaboration and SAS best practices on analytics. The team will develop and implement new standard operating procedures and guidelines for high-quality SAS programming and architectures.
