Heartland Payment Systems Acquires MCS Software, Signaling Ongoing Growth of Heartland School Solutions Division

Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE:HPY), one of the nation's largest payments processors, has acquired MCS Software, an innovative provider of school foodservice point-of-sale (POS), back office and online payment solutions for more than 4,000 K-12 schools nationwide.

The acquisition of Madisonville, Louisiana-based MCS Software marks the continuing expansion of Heartland's market-leading position in the growing K-12 school nutrition and POS technology industry. Heartland School Solutions now serves over 34,000 K-12 schools nationwide, representing a 35% share of the public schools in the U.S.
