Atlas CEO to Deliver Message on Fundamental Strategies to Extend Laboratory Value within the Continuum of Care at the 19th Annual Executive War College
CALABASAS, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Atlas Medical today announced plans for the Company's CEO, Rob Atlas, to
speak at the 19th Annual Executive War College (EWC) conference to be
held at the Sheraton New Orleans from April 29-30, 2014 in New Orleans,
In the Master Class, "Leverage the Power of an EMPI to Increase Revenue
and Extend the Value of Diagnostics," Mr. Atlas will present the steps
labs and other diagnostic testing facilities must take now to convert
visionary patient-centric concepts into an essential business strategy
for survival and growth. Attendees will learn the methods used and
benefits gained when labs adopt a patient-centric approach using an
Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI), along with the potential
consequences of continuing to function as an accession-based operation.
"A complete view of the patient record is indispensable to ensuring that
labs fulfill their role as trusted consultants to their physician
customers, facilitating collaboration, not just communication," stated
Rob Atlas, CEO and President of Atlas Medical. He continues, "Labs can
extend the value of diagnostics by organizing, processing, and sharing
information in a patient-centric mode." This year's session will provide
further insight into the tools, including an EMPI (or CMPI - Community
Master Patient Index), that can be implemented to achieve a successful
patient-centric focus and positon the lab to better support the
continuum of care. This must-attend Master Class will be held at 8 a.m.
on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Sheraton New Orleans.
As a benefactor sponsor for 10 years, ATLAS will also be hosting a
roundtable discussion entitled "Using Expertise and Technology to
Overcome Today's Challenges and Create New Business Opportunities for
Your Lab" at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. The panel discussion
will include top industry experts who will provide their unique
perspectives on key issues and challenges labs are facing today, and how
diagnostic testing facilities can create new business opportunities.

HIEs, the rise of patients as consumers, current IT practices, and the
