ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 18 -- Black Duck Software, Brookline, Mass., has been assigned a patent (8,700,533) developed by three co-inventors for "authenticating licenses for legally-protectable content based on license profiles and content identifiers." The co-inventors are Douglas Andrew Levin, Boston, Ashesh C. Shah, Brookline, Mass., and Palle Martin Pedersen, Brookline, Mass.
