GP to partner with ministry's Mobile App Dev Prog


(United News of Bangladesh Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Dhaka, Apr 21 (UNB) Leading private mobile phone operator Grameenphone on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology to be a partner of Mobile App Development Programme.



Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Division of the Ministry of M Nazrul Islam Khan and Ishtiaq Hussen Chowdhury, Director, Stakeholder Relations of Grameenphone, signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organisations.

Grameenphone will be partnering 'Mobile App Development Programme' initiated by the ministry in November last year. This programme was taken to train students from all 64 districts on how to develop apps and later to monetise the apps developed by the students.


GP has a module included in their training material through which how to monetise/sell apps through GP Alo Ashbei service will be taught.

As a partner GP has provided 30 handsets and 300 internet modems to the ministry as gift for the students.
