Modern Healthcare Magazine Names Richard D. The biennial list, begun in 2006, honors the select group of executives for their contributions to the healthcare industry and their service as role models to aspiring minority leaders. Modern Healthcare and the Furst Group, a healthcare executive search firm, compiled the distinguished list of honorees from almost 170 candidates who were evaluated by an editorial review board consisting of the senior editors at Modern Healthcare. The Top 25 was selected based on the following criteria:

He also has been nominated as chairman-elect of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
