Kentucky Presents Tyler Technologies with Education Technology Partnership Award

PLANO, Texas --(Business Wire)--

The Kentucky Department of Education presented Tyler Technologies (News - Alert), Inc. (NYSE: TYL) with a 2013 Stilwell K-12 Education Technology Partnership Award for outstanding efforts to improve the educational experiences and opportunities for public school teachers and students in Kentucky.

KDE and Tyler have been partners since 1994 when KDE purchased Tyler's Munis® enterprise resource planning solution for implementation at all school districts in the state. In late 2012, Tyler completed an 18-month migration project transitioning 172 of the 173 schoo districts to a software as a service (SaaS (News - Alert)) delivery model.

"We're pleased to be recognized by KDE for our accomplishments as a team," said Chris Hepburn, executive vice president of Tyler's ERP & School Division. "Working together with KDE for nearly two decades has been very rewarding for Tyler as we've collaborated to help the Kentucky Department of Education achieve success."

The Stilwell Award has been given annually since 2008, when it was first given to its namesake, William E. Stilwell, an emeritus faculty member of the University of Kentucky College of Education. KDE instituted the Stilwell Award for those outstanding vendor and university partners who have helped KDE fulfill their mission to the students and citizens of the commonwealth.
