Templeton receiving notice for sports marketing work in NY [The Star, Shelby, N.C. :: ]

(Star (Shelby, NC) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) April 26--Branden Templeton, a Cleveland County native, is drawing attention for his work in the sports marketing field.

Templeton is currently finishing up his fourth NBA/NHL season at Madison Square Garden in New York, where he serves as Director of Strategic Planning in the Business Solutions & Marketing Partnerships Team.

The Partnership Activation Spring Newsletter -- which is disseminated to sports marketing professionals in more than 80 countries -- recently tabbed Templeton as one of its 'Rising stars' in that field. Among the young professionals to receive such recognition were current employees of the Brooklyn Nets and St. Louis Rams.

Each quarter Partnership Activation, Inc., honors young professionals ages 30 and under making an impact in the sports industry early in their careers.

Templeton's role with MSG involves creating revenue streams across the many partnership platforms MSG offers through its venues, sports teams, media networks and other properties/productions.

A native of Shelby, Branden received his Master of Science in Sports Business from New York University and received a Bachelors of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management (focus on Sports Management) from N.C. State University.

He is the son of Pam and Woody Fish.
