BRIEF: Cumberland County's annual Electronic Waste Drive will be May 17 [The Fayetteville Observer, N.C. :: ]


(Fayetteville Observer (NC) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) May 05--Unwanted electronics will be collected May 17 in Cumberland County's annual Electronic Waste Drive.

Cumberland County Solid Waste Management will collect recyclable electronics from 8 a.m. to noon in the courthouse parking lot on Gillespie Street.

The city of Fayetteville, Fayetteville Beautiful and Sustainable Sandhills are co-hosting the drive.

Recyclable electronics include lamps, vacuums, televisions, DVD players, radios, old computer cords, computers and video game players. If it has a cord, bring it. Old books will also be accepted for recycling by the county's solid waste department.



Appliances and hazardous materials will not be accepted.

Cumberland County Solid Waste accepts electronics at all of its convenience centers during business hours year round. Go to co.cumberland.nc.us/solid_waste for locations.
