XAPPmedia names Lisa Namerow SVP [Radio and Television Business Report (RBR-TVBR)]

(Radio and Television Business Report (RBR-TVBR) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) DC-based XAPPmedia, provider of the first interactive audio advertising service, announced the addition of Lisa Namerow as senior vice president of business development and publisher relations to its executive team. Lisa joins from Slacker Radio, where she was SVP/strategic partnerships and audio monetization. Lisa led the management of various strategic partnerships including AOL, Verizon, Cox Communications, Time Warner Cable, Triton Digital as well as led strategy for audio monetization. Prior to Slacker, Lisa served in a number of executive roles at AOL, including general manager Moviefone, AOL Television, Winamp, and SHOUTcast. She was also GM of the AOL Music Network and AOL Radio, where she ran day-to-day business operations, product and audience development for five music websites and AOL Radio. At AOL, Lisa spearheaded partnerships with Sirius XM, CBS Radio, Slacker, VEVO, Targetspot, Ronning Lipset Radio and Rolling Stone and oversaw the launch of the award winning AOL Radio iPhone application.

XAPPmedia is the leader in interactive audio advertising and is the first company to "Give Consumers a Voice," allowing instant connections with brands through mobile audio apps. XAPP Ads present branded content followed by an opportunity for consumers to interact with ads by voice to receive more content, be connected directly with offers or get back to more listening.

"We're delighted to add Lisa to the XAPPmedia team," said Pat Higbie, CEO and co-founder, XAPPmedia. "Lisa was a pioneer in helping Internet radio evolve into a mainstream media. Radio listeners are now migrating again, this time to mobile devices, and we are seeing a similar set of challenges as publishers look for new ways to deliver effective advertising in a new listening environment.  Lisa's deep experience across the advertising technology and digital radio industries will help XAPP accelerate this change by expanding relationships with existing and new publisher partners." "When I first joined AOL Radio, it was exciting because AOL was one of the first to bring Internet radio to the masses. Today XAPPmedia is reinventing mobile audio advertising and it's exciting to again be on the front lines of radio's next revolution. When people interact with XAPP ads, it's amazing to see the positive way they react to this intuitive technology. Radio advertising hasn't changed much in 90 years, but XAPP is ushering in a entirely new set of capabilities that benefit consumers, advertisers and publishers and I am thrilled to be a part of the XAPP team," said Namerow.

She'll now be working closely with XAPPmedia's executive team to establish the company's market position and business direction. In addition, Lisa will be responsible for publisher and partner relationships that will drive widespread adoption of XAPP Ads.
