(Walla Walla Union-Bulletin (WA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) May 14--College Place communications firm CMBell Company and Walla Walla University have received a Silver Award from the 2014 ADDY Awards, Eastern Washington region.

The award was given to the Marketing and Enrollment Services Department's "Because I said so!" direct mail. That piece was designed to help high school sophomores think about college. It was developed under the direction of Jodi Wagner, vice president for university relations and advancement.

The ADDY Awards represent the spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types. Winners at the local level -- Yakima -- are forwarded on to the district competition to compete against regional agencies, the announcement explained.

CMBell Company, now in its 17th year of business, is a local communications, branding and marketing firm led by President DeLona Lang Bell.
