Leef Technology Introduces Copper Edition USB Flash Drives to Complement Lifestyle of Users

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--

Leef Technology LTD. (Leef) today announced the Leef Copper Edition, a first-to-market application of copper to USB flash drives that continues Leef's drive to design products people want to own. Initially available for the Leef Magnet 3.0, Leef Ice 3.0 and Leef Surge USB flash drives, Leef Copper Edition ties together the utility of high capacity storage and high speeds with a look that matches the lifestyle of its users.

"While examining trends outside of the technology industry, specifically in lifestyle and fashion, we noticed one of the coolest developments was a return to the classic elegance of copper," said Axle Looslie, product designer at Leef. "From the classic rivets on Levi Jeans to luxury watches and upscale home furnishings, copper adds quality and prestige to everything it touches."

Underscoring Leef's commitment to the small details that matter most to users, Leef Copper Edition is designed to complement the lifestyle of its users and fulfill the important physical and functional need of sharing and managing data. Copper Edition is available in some of Leef's most popular USB flash drives, including:

  • Leef Magnet 3.0: Copper Edition combines two of Leef's signature design features into one slick package - the pateted "never-lose" magnetic cap of the award-winning Leef Fuse USB Drive and a soft-glow LED encased in methacrylic resin, the most translucent non-glass material in the world.
  • Leef Ice 3.0: Copper Edition is encased in an anodized band and uses methacrylic resin to create the crystal-like "Ice" feature.
  • Leef Surge 2.0: Copper Edition is one of the smallest USB drives in existence and features a tiny, compact design.

"This new family of products widens the gap between Leef and the competition in both design strategy and product quality," Looslie said. "When you show someone the Copper Edition, they immediately understand what Leef is about."

Leef 3.0 USB flash drives are designed not only to deliver file transfer speeds up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 devices, but also encase that data with clean, modern design.

The Copper Edition of Leef Magnet 3.0, Leef Ice 3.0 and Leef Surge 2.0 all feature Leef's PrimeGrade MemoryTM, which consists of 100 percent functional memory die sealed into a thermoplastic casing, making it waterproof and shock resistant to protect data from life's accidents. PrimeGrade Memory delivers read speeds up to 90.3 MB/s (megabytes per second) and write speeds up to 26.7 MB/s, resulting in superior memory that ensures reliable, high-speed storage.
