Heart probe hospital's PR fees outrage [Sunday Mirror (England)]

(Sunday Mirror (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) A CHILDREN'S hospital under fire over heart patient deaths is spending Pounds 10,000 a month hiring a private PR firm to improve its image.

Bristol Royal Hospital for Children said it hired Grayling on a short-term basis due to a significant increase in media attention.

The hospital is being investigated over the care of cardiac patients after the families of more than 10 children accused it of neglect and mistreatment.

They now say the hospital is using public money to rebut genuine criticisms.

A hospital trust director met journalists last month to deny allegations children needing high dependency care were given inadequate care on an ordinary ward.
