Metanoia's VDSL2 Chipset Powers Huawei's 300 Mb/s FTTD SolutionsHSINCHU, Taiwan --(Business Wire)-- Today, Metanoia (News - Alert) Communications, a leading provider of semiconductor products for the wireline broadband market, announces the use of Metanoia's VDSL2 chipset, the MT2311, by Huawei (News - Alert), a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, for its fiber-to-the-door (FTTD) equipment. Emergence of new services offered by Service Providers requires pushing the limits in terms of available data throughput over existing single copper, and to make it an easy-n-fast deployment scenario versus bringing Fiber to the household. By leveraging the capabilities of the MT2311 chipset, Huawei's FTTD solution can achieve up to 300 Mb/s aggregate data rate and employ a higher-efficiency encoding scheme, which provides more reliable line quality. The MT2311 chipset is the unique single port VDSL2 solution available on the market, which can be used on the CO or the CPE side.
