Octo Consulting Group CEO Appointed to Virginia Tech's Board of VisitorsMCLEAN, Va. --(Business Wire)-- Octo Consulting Group, a provider of innovative technology and management consulting services, announced today that its President & CEO Mehul Sanghani was among the recent appointments to The Board of Visitors of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). Governor Terry McAuliffe announced appointments to all of the Boards of Visitors for Virginia's Colleges and Universities on June 2, 2014. In his announcement, Governor McAuliffe expressed hope that his appointees will use their positions to help manage Virginia's colleges and universities prudently and embrace innovation inorder to prepare every Virginia student to compete in a 21st century economy. Board appointees serve a term of four years and may be reappointed for a successive four years. Mr. Sanghani achieved three separate bachelor's degrees in five years from Virginia Tech and is also a native of the town of Blacksburg, Virginia, where the university is located. The appointment is a dream fulfilled for Mr. Sanghani, who credits much of his success to his upbringing in Blacksburg and education from Virginia Tech. "I am honored and elated to have been appointed by Governor McAuliffe to serve on the University's Board of Visitors," said Mr. Sanghani.
