Boston Business Journal Selects Energi as a 2014 Best Place to Work

Energi, a leading provider of risk management and insurance programs for the energy industry, was named by The Boston Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts. The honor recognizes Energi's achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture. The recognition by Boston Business Journal follows Energi's 2013 selections as a Boston Globe Best Place to Work and a Business Insurance Best Place to Work in Insurance.

The top 20 companies in each award category were recognized during a June 12 reception at CitiCenter/Wang Theater and profiled in a special supplement of the Boston Business Journal. Energi was selected from a field of more than 400 companies that completed the two-stage nomination and employee satisfaction surveys.

Energi's Massachusetts employees completed surveys administered by market research firm Quantum (News - Alert) Workplace. Employees answered questions covering topics such as company pride, work environment, management support, recognition of achievement, and relationships with coworkers and supervisors.

As part of its expansion, Energi recently hired senior Department of Energy executive Christopher Lohmann to head its Alternative Energy Solutions division. In the past six months, Energi has opened new offices in Downers Grove, Illinois, Irving, Texas and Washington, DC to serve its burgeoning nationwide operation. In coming months, the company will also reveal its plans to expand its Peabody, Massachusetts headquarters and workforce.
