New Commercial Business Unit Director Named at the National Student Clearinghouse

(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) HERNDON, Va., June 13 -- The National Student Clearinghouse issued the following news release: Jamie Osterhaus has been named the new Commercial Business Director at the National Student Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse, a nonprofit organization located in Herndon, Va., provides educational reporting, verification and research services to more than 3,600 colleges and universities and more than 9,000 high schools.

Jamie joins the Commercial Business group, which provides academic authentication and verification services to employers and background screening firms as well as organizations giving benefits to current college students and alumni. She works under the direction of Jim Kathman, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. In addition to expanding relationships with key commercial customers, Jamie will drive marketing, product development, and management priorities within commercial markets.

Prior to joining the Clearinghouse, Jamie was Director of Partner Solutions at Intersections, Inc., a leading provider of consumer and corporate identity risk management services, where she oversaw accounts, identified and implemented growth opportunities, and launched new marketing channels. She is a graduate of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.

"Jamie's deep understanding of account management, strong analytical and strategic capabilities, and positive and outgoing approach make her a great addition to the Clearinghouse," stated Jim Kathman. "I am excited to see her leverage her talents to drive our commercial business to new heights." Jamie will build upon the work done by Tom Buffoni, outgoing director. Since 2008, Tom has expanded the product line to include new markets, resulting in substantial business growth during his tenure. "Tom has been an important member of the Clearinghouse team for the last six years," noted Kathman. "His deep understanding of the Clearinghouse and the commercial markets that use our verification services, combined with his no-nonsense approach, contributed immensely to the growth of the Commercial Business Unit. He leaves the team having built a strong foundation." CC AutoTriage6yd-140614-30VitinMar-4767411 (c) 2014 Targeted News Service
