Couchbase Appoints Sujan Jain as Its Chief Financial Officer


MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Couchbase, Inc., provider of the most complete NoSQL database, today announced the appointment of Sujan Jain as its SVP & Chief Financial Officer, expanding its management team to accelerate the company's rapid growth as more and more enterprises build mission critical applications on NoSQL.

In the past year, Couchbase has achieved 400% growth, doubled the employee base and added large enterprise customers around the world, including Amadeus, Beats, Neiman Marcus and Viber. Jain will be responsible for the continued development of the company's long-term financial success and will oversee all Couchbase financial and operational functions.

Mr. Jain is an operationally focused, seasoned executive with a strong track record in strategic planning, financial management and growing and scaling global organizations. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Model N (NYSE: MODN), a leading provider of revenue management software, where he led a successful $120 million Initial Public Offering within a year of joining the company. Prior to ModelN, Mr. Jain served as the Vice President of Finance and General Manager of the software vertical for NetSuite (News - Alert), Inc. (NYSE: N).



Mr. Jain has also held Chief Financial Officer positions at Transmeta Corporation and at NanoAmp Solutions. Additionally, he has held several investment banking and operating roles at J.P. Morgan Chase, Lazard and Schlumberger (News - Alert). Mr. Jain is also an advisor to several publicly and privately held high-tech companies.

Sujan holds a MBA, with Beta Gamma Sigma honors, from Columbia University, a B.S. degree in engineering from Delhi Institute of Technology and is a certified public accountant.
