RagingWire Expands "The Rock" Data Center Campus in Sacramento, California With New CA3 Facility

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/18/14 -- RagingWire Data Centers, the nation's premier data center provider and an NTT Communications group company, announced today that it is expanding its Sacramento data center campus known as "The Rock(SM)" with a new 180,000 square foot facility called CA3. CA3 is fully integrated with RagingWire's 500,000 square foot CA1/CA2 facilities and offers 14 MW of critical IT power, 20,000 square feet of customer office and amenity space, massive telecommunications capacity, and extensive physical security systems. Located in seismically stable Sacramento, CA3 is an ideal data center location for internet, enterprise, and government organizations, especially those with operations in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. First customer installations are scheduled by year end 2014.

RagingWire is unique in the data center colocation industry in that it designs, builds, and operates its own facilities. The company has award-winning data center campuses in Sacramento, California and Ashburn, Virginia. The CA1/CA2 campus in Sacramento with 80 MW of backup power generation capacity is considered to be the largest commercial multi-tenant data center in the state of California. VA1, a 150,000 square foot data center in Ashburn, Virginia, opened on July 31, 2012 is experiencing rapid customer adoption.

"The largest data center in the state of California is getting bigger and better," said Jason Weckworth, senior vice president and chief operating officer at RagingWire. "We are proud to be expanding our Sacramento data center campus with our new CA3 facility -- designed and engineered for critical applications and internet businesses." RagingWire is home for hundreds of customers running sophisticated, production-level IT systems. For example, CallidusCloud has over 3,000,000 users at 2,000 companies running its suite of industry leading sales and marketing applications. These applications are delivered using a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model running on hundreds of virtual and physical servers.

"Congratulations to RagingWire on its new CA3 data center in Sacramento," said Shamyo Chatterjee, chief information officer at CallidusCloud. "As a RagingWire customer for over eight years, we have seen first-hand the innovation and superior operations of their data centers. CA3 will be a great addition to 'The Rock' data center campus."
