BRIEF: St. Mary's Academy hires Sarah Fridovich as director, promoted Emily Niedermeyer Becker to vice president [The Oregonian, Portland, Ore. :: ]


(Oregonian (Portland, OR) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) June 20--The end of the school year brought changes in leadership to St. Mary's Academy. Sarah Fridovich has been hired director of communications and Emily Niedermeyer Becker '86, formerly director of development, has been promoted to vice president for development.



Becker's has about 25 years of fundraising experience. Since starting at the Academy in July of 2013, she has increased revenue for every major St. Mary's event. In April, Becker led a record-breaking annual auction that raised $900,000 -- a 13 percent increase from last year.

Sarah Fridovich brings experience in strategic communication, public relations, corporate communication and organizational development.


Previously, she served as communications manager at one of the nation's largest non-profit foundations, Casey Family Programs. Her background includes time as a consultant at APCO Worldwide and as a communication specialist at Eddie Bauer.
