iPhone 6, Galaxy S6, iWatch, iPad 6, Galaxy Note 4, Release Dates Update [FARS News Agency]

(FARS News Agency Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TEHRAN (FNA)- With 2014 nearly half over, one would be forgiven for thinking that the exciting mobile releases of the year would also be half done. But the second half of the calendar year is usually the dominant portion in terms of flagship mobile releases, and 2014 is set to be no different in this regard. Here are some details behind the biggest releases that can be expected before the end of the year.

Apple iPhone 6 It quite simply doesn't get any bigger than the Apple iPhone 6. A new iPhone is a massive release in any calendar year, but the iPhone 6 is expected to be a significant evolution in the flagship Apple smartphone. Apple Inc. is quite clearly intending for the iPhone 6 to blow away both consumers and market analysts in the wake of some ordinary financial figures, and supply line leaks have indicated that Apple could be taking a radical approach to the construction of the iPhone 6, Valuewalk reported. But when can we get our hands on it? Recent reports from the authoritative 9to5Mac indicate that the iPhone 6 could be released as early as August, with the phablet-sized model of the device, which has long been rumored, following in September. Certainly, we won't have to wait that much longer to find out what Apple's plans are for this device. Apple iWatch Apple fans have been gossiping about a smartwatch from Apple for quite some time, and these murmurings have intensified in recent weeks. Although Apple has not yet given indication of the existence of the iWatch – let alone when it will be released or what sort of spec we can expect from it – media all over the globe has been reporting on the latest iWatch rumours in the last 24 hours. The iWatch is expected to be released in October, with production to begin as early as July. The iWatch seems to have a health-related remit, and will no doubt be a huge hit for Apple, as pretty much all of their products tend to be, on release. Apple iPad 6 Another worthy stallion of the Apple stable is the iPad. The world's most successful tablet is due an update, and rumors have indicated that this particular tablet will be the first of the hugely popular Apple series to offer split screen functionality; making it possible to run more than one application at once. This has not been confirmed by Apple, but it was widely reported by the media in recent weeks. There is no firm release date for the iPad 6 at this point in time, but somewhere towards the end of the year would seem to be a reasonable estimate. Apple has a lot on its plate, but another iPad would seem to be an economic necessity for the world's most successful brand. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. contender for the crown of the world's top phablet is also set for an update before the year is out. The Galaxy Note hasn't reached iPhone-esque levels of sales yet, but Samsung has already announced its intention to eventually usurp Apple in this marketplace, and it will be fascinating to see how the Galaxy Note 4 fares against the new iPhone. Because it looks increasingly likely that Samsung will release this product shortly after the iPhone 6 hits the shops. We could see the Galaxy Note 4 in October, in plenty of time for Christmas, and many stockings will be stocked with either the Samsung phablet or its Apple equivalent. Samsung Galaxy S6 And aside from the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung's next-gen device Galaxy S6 is already in development, despite the fact that the Galaxy S5 remains a prominent smartphone in the marketplace. While Samsung continues to promote the previous iteration of the Galaxy, the S6 will feature a body completely constructed of aluminum and is clearly intended to be a premium version of this very popular line of smartphones. The Galaxy S6 won't be set up to compete with an iPhone; we should see it in early 2015. Nokia Superman When Microsoft Corporation bought Nokia Corporation, it was obvious that the world's biggest producer of computer software would seriously spruce up the Nokia range. Thus, it will be interesting to see what the smartphone codenamed ‘Superman' will constitute when it is released. Expect to see this Nokia handset before the end of the year, and for it to be pitched at the mid-range portion of the market.         (c) 2014 Fars News Agency.
