Cybercrime threat to be probed [Evening Times (Glasgow, Scotland)]


(Evening Times (Glasgow, Scotland) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) DELEGATES from around the world gather in Glasgow this week for a conference on cybercrime, computer security and digital forensics.

More than 70 delegates from the UK, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand and the US are attending the two-day conference in Strathclyde University.

They include academics police, bankers and security industry professionals.

Conference chairman Dr George Weir of Strathclyde University said: "The threat of cybercrime is increasingly recognised as a threat to individuals and organisations across the globe.



"The variety, complexity and impact of exploits appear to expand constantly.

"It is because of these increasing security threats that this conference is so important.
